Physiotherapy with Acupuncture / Dry Needling

Acupuncture and Dry Needling can enhance your physiotherapy treatment by providing drug-free pain-relief and relieving chronically tight muscles. Acupuncture can treat a wide variety of health conditions, and at our clinic we use it to treat bone, muscle, joint and neurological conditions. Dry needling targets chronically tight and painful muscles - and often results in instant relief.

Physiotherapy with Low Level Laser

Low Level Laser can enhance your physiotherapy treatment by providing another drug-free, low-risk approach to fight muscle, joint or neurological conditions. Low level laser is also known as photobiomodulation therapy. It can reduce pain and speed healing.

TMJ Physiotherapy

TMJ physiotherapy provides relief from jaw pain and dysfunction. Your jaw joint is your Tempomandibular Joint ("TMJ"), and TMJ issues can cause facial pain, headaches, jaw clicking, jaw locking, neck pain, difficulty chewing, and difficulty speaking. Our physiotherapists have advanced training in treating TMJ conditions, and we work with your dentist to get you the relief you crave.

About “Exam Candidate” Physiotherapists

An “Exam Candidate” Physiotherapist is the current title for physiotherapists practicing under supervision in Manitoba, registered with the College of Physiotherapists of Manitoba.

This title is a misnomer, as these physiotherapists have successfully completed all their academic and licensing exams. They hold at least one university degree in physiotherapy, and have extensive experience in patient care. Upcoming regulatory changes in 2025 are expected change this title to “Physiotherapist Intern.”

Exam Candidates / Intern Physiotherapists practice under the supervision of a senior physiotherapist, to ensure a high quality of patient care.

All physiotherapists entering practice in Canada, be it from a Canadian university or from another country, are required to complete a minimum of six months under a Supervised Practice program in Manitoba.
